Boy's Basketball vs. Briggs

The Boy's Basketball team defeated Briggs on Wednesday by a score of 98 - 52.  It was a team effort lead by Doug Thorpe with 18 points, Mike Lester - 16 points, Alex Coleman - 16 points, and Matt Ryan - 15 points.  Great job Warriors.

Credit Recovery Cancelled

Credit Recovery for Tuesday, Jan. 20 and Wednesday, Jan. 21 has been cancelled.  Credit Recovery will resume Thursday, Jan. 22.

Eastmoor Academy vs. Walnut Ridge

Eastmoor Academy battled Walnut Ridge in what was called a close game. Unfortunately, Eastmoor Academy walked away with a loss. Our Warriors scored 53 points, as Walnut Ridge scored 54. Lester and Tanner shared the team high with 12 points combining for 24 points, with Thorpe scoring 10 points and Coleman scoring 9 points.

Boy's Basketball Schedule Update

The Boy's Basketball game scheduled for Saturday, 10 January has been rescheduled. The new date and times for the game are January 24 - Freshmen at 1:00, JV at 2:30, and Varstiy at 4:00.

Wednesday, January 7

OGT Tutoring

It is not too late to register for the OGT Tutoring and Preparatory Program sponsored by the Bethany CDC. There are nine (9) weeks, (13.5 hours of intensive tutorial instruction in Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Writing) remaining in the program leading up to OGT testing week starting March 16, 2009.

Girl's Basketball at West

The Girl's Basketball team travelled to West H.S. to take on the Lady Cowboys on Tuesday night.  The J.V. team came away with a win by a margin of 68 - 17.  The Varsity team improved their record to 6 -1 (5 - 0) with a final score of 81 - 39 in favor of the Lady Warriors.

Standouts for the game were D. Hall with 22 point and 6 steals and S. Murphy with 11 rebounds.

Tuesday, January 6

Wrestling

Saturday was the Northridge Highschool Wrestling Tournament, 14 schools including Eastmoor participated.

Of the 16 players from EA that attended: Devonte Norman placed 3rd in the 112 weight class; Craig Curry placed 4th in the 171 weight class; Ian Sheets (AKA Snowflake) and Alan Johnson were runners-up in their weight classes.

Help make "Dreamgirls" a Success

The EAHS Drama Department is requesting donated dresses. These dresses can be old bridesmaids, prom, homecoming, formal, bell-bottom female pants, crazy blouses, wild stuff from the 70's (disco), anything!!

We will take any attire that we can alter, add to, etc. to help make the Dreams come to life. We are also looking for male 60's and 70's clothes: Suits, pant suits, Disco shirts, and ties.

Thank you for looking in your closets and helping us out! We would appreciate the clothes before the Holiday Break if possible. Just bring to Mr. Harms' room.

Warriors play for State Championship

After defeating Newark Licking Valley 14 - 10 last Saturday, the Warriors will tackle Aurora for the State Championship. The game will be played in Canton Fawcett Stadium on Sat. Nov. 29 at 11:00 a.m. GO WARRIORS!!

Sunday, November 16

EA Warriors win Region

Eastmoor defeated Logan Elm on Saturday 23-0 to win its region and advance to the State Semi-Finals. The Warriors will be facing 12-1 Licking Valley on Saturday, November 22 at 7 PM at Gahanna Lincoln Stadium (directions from Eastmoor). Congratulations Warriors!!

Warrior Football Advances to 3rd Round

The EA Warriors defeated Sheridan HS Saturday 28 - 6 (read the dipatch article). The Warriors will take on 12-0 Logan Elm this Saturday, November 15. The Regional final game for the Warriors is at Gahanna (directions from Eastmoor) at 7 PM.
